Experience
Brian has spent more than 10 years at ISU, managing collaborative research projects between Iowa companies and faculty/staff. He has also been responsible for negotiating sponsored research agreements, NDAs, and MTAs. Prior to joining ISU, Brian spent time as a chemist at manufacturers such as Kemin, Novartis, and Purac; as well as in Product Management at Streck Labs in Omaha. Brian is a certified Project Manager (PMP) and utilizes project management knowledge and industry experience to ensure CIRAS collaborative research projects go smoothly and all stakeholders are satisfied with the project output.In his current role, Brian manages engagements between Iowa companies and faculty. This includes helping companies identify potential faculty for complex technical assistance and contract research, helping create strong project ideas, and managing project execution.
