Introduction to Plant Optimization Workshop Series (1)

June 25 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

Join us for a dynamic three-part workshop series designed to help manufacturers tackle key operational challenges. This series focuses on optimizing operations, improving efficiency, and designing effective workflows. Attendees will gain actionable insights into proven techniques and methods to address real-world manufacturing problems.

Each 2-hour session will introduce practical tools, methodologies, and case studies to demonstrate their application. Beyond exploring these concepts, the series also highlights opportunities for CIRAS to provide hands-on support in implementing these techniques effectively.

By the end of this workshop series, participants will gain insights into the following techniques and how they can address common operational challenges, as well as recognize how CIRAS can support their application:

  • Time studies to establish reliable standards and account for part variation across workstations.
  • Workload balancing to maximize efficiency and linear programming to optimize resource allocation.
  • Efficient plant layouts to improve material flow and space utilization.

Registering for the series will automatically register you for each session. Sessions will be held weekly on Wednesday. We highly encourage you to attend all 3 sessions, but attendance is optional.

No Prior Knowledge Needed: The workshop uses a case study approach accessible to all participants, regardless of their familiarity with Industrial Engineering concepts, statistics, or optimization tools.

Engagement Focused: Sessions emphasize interactive learning, with practical examples to help participants see the value of the concepts presented.

Open to All Manufacturers: Ideal for decision-makers, engineers, and managers looking to explore optimization opportunities in their operations.

Registration closes on Monday, June 23 at 12:00 PM.

A light breakfast will be provided.
